Welcome, and thanks for stopping by! I’m farmertrue, a VR enthusiast, content creator, and PC-builder with roots in farming country. Growing up on farms, surrounded by livestock, tobacco fields & horse racing, I developed a second nature for hard work and being hands-on. These are skills that later helped me dive into the world of technology and virtual reality.

My journey into VR and PC building began not too long ago when I was at a crossroads in my life. In my late teens and early adult years, I struggled with alcohol & addiction, which consumed much of my time and energy. But in October 2021, I made the life-changing decision to seek professional help and break free from my addiction. With the support of my family, friends, and doctors, I began my path to sobriety, and it completely transformed my outlook on life.

During my recovery, I rediscovered something that had blown my mind years before... virtual reality. After demoing a VR setup at Best Buy (a demo which consisted of The Climb and Robo Recall using a tethered Rift CV1), I was hooked. But back then, the cost, as well as my lifestyle, made it out of reach. Fast forward to 2021, and I discovered the Oculus Quest 2, a standalone VR headset that didn’t require a PC. I bought it immediately, and it became my new passion.

As my love for VR grew, I dove into researching the endless possibilities it offered. I soon realized that to truly unlock the full potential of VR, I needed to venture into the world of PCVR. That’s when I began my journey into building my first gaming PC. In late 2021, early 2022, after months of learning about components, watching tutorials, and saving up, I successfully built my own custom PC tailored specifically for the best VR experience. It was a turning point for me, combining my passion for gaming and technology with the new energy and focus sobriety had given me.

Since then, I’ve become deeply involved in the VR community as a variety VR live streamer, partnered content creator, hardware and game tester, and an official Pimax moderator. I’ve also contributed as a bHaptics mod creator and admin for an 18+ VR Discord server with over 650 members. My goal is to help push the boundaries of VR technology and share the joy it brings with others. Whether it's reviewing hardware, testing new games, or live streaming immersive VR experiences, I’m all in!
